Guild of Metalsmiths' Gallery: Mary Stasek Johnson
The desire to learn more about direct metal techniques inspired Mary to
join the Guild of Metalsmiths in 2004.
Mary is a sculptor whose work is informed by contemporary artists and traditional masters.
"Seeker" is a steel helmet lined with felt and laced with rawhide.
"gunsen" is a steel fan with horsehair, waxed linen thread and copper lacing.
