Kirsten Skiles
Kirsten Skiles is best known for her chasing and repousse work in copper, steel and other metals. Many of her creations are naturalistic relief panels and draws on imagery of the Midwest, childhood memories of those great illustrations in children's book's and fairy tales. Repousse is the relief decoration of metal, produced by hammering from the back so that the decoration projects and is one of the oldest technique's used to decorate metal.
