Are there any machinists out there?/ Nowthen Threshing show

August 16, 17 and 18 are the dates for the Nowthen Threshing Show. The site is about 4 miles east of Elk River Wisconsin.
We have a very nice blacksmith shop there but this year we will be getting serious about setting up a machine shop area at one end of the shop.
If you would be interested in helping to set up this shop and/or in operating some of the gear, please let us know. You can contact Bob Fredell at:
bfredell@msn.com
or me, Pete Stanaitis at:
spaco@baldwin-telecom.net
for details.

So far we have a 9" south bend lathe running on its own electric motor and it has enough tooling that you can do some stuff with it as long as you bring your own stock.

We have a new line shaft dedicated to the machine shop and we will be attempting to get it turning this season.
We have a medium size shaper to set up to the line shaft.
I think there's at least one grinder, and there's a huge camel back drill press that could be running, making large holes in stuff.
