At last fall's conference Gordon Williams shared a patina solution he made up to put a copper finish on steel. Does anyone have the recipe he gave out?

Copper sulfate (Root killer)buy at hardware store
1 cup to gallon of water
Copper plates CLEAN steel
My notes say "use respirator"

Old copper penny patina:
2 parts copper sulfate mix,1 part muratic acid,7 parts hydrogen peroxide.
Dip or spray *respirator*

BME Labstore in Little Canada also has copper sulfate. 4 oz. $5.40, 16 oz. $15.
