Arizona Coin Ring

Unread post by DLANDINO » Tue Aug 19, 2014 11:01 am

This was created from a 2008 US Arizona State quarter. I have been at this for about 4 months now and am perfecting the craft. Thanks for looking.

That looks pretty good! More even and less tapered. Do you know if this metal causes the skin to turn colors? Also, do you have a method for determining the sizing before you get started?

Hi and thanks. I size people out before starting a job and this particular metal, copper and nickel will turn your finger green when worn. To counteract that, I seal base metals for wear. That said, I typically work in silver but these state quarters really have some neat art work that looks great as a ring.

Yes. it is illegal to alter currency and try to pass it off as a value greater than its intent however. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf06xpTns3w
