Coal Forge building workshop 25 April 2015

Unread post by Martin Pansch » Thu Apr 30, 2015 8:50 pm

Last Saturday I hosted the 3rd Poor Man's coal forge building class out at my shop. If I keep it up I might eventually figure out what I am doing. We built 7 1/2 forges, 7 for participants and the 1/2, which will eventually be completed, which will be an auction item for the Madness this fall. I didn't have much time for taking pictures but I got a few. I am hoping other participants might have taken some and share them here.

Couldn't get all the photos on one post. Here is the class photo though Glenn and Kirkland Wilson snuck out before we got the pic.

I was lucky to have great fellow instructors in the guise of Jim Ericksen, Pieter Maas, Darryl Ponder, Marty Masters, and Christina Dodge. Without their help surely all would have been lost.

I think people had a good time, I know I did. Under Jim Ericksen's guidance I improved my welding technique more in 10 minutes than I have in the last few years on my own.
