New smithy- bloomington/mpls

Unread post by NMcCartney » Sun Feb 08, 2015 10:44 am

Hello everyone. I've already posted on the forum but I thought I would actually introduce myself. My name is Nate. I'm currently living in Bloomington but will be moving to north Minneapolis at the end of March, where I will be setting up my smithing area.

I plan on doing a little of everything for smithing, but will eventually be more focused on making armor and medieva weapons. The reason being because I and a few friends practice historical european martial arts (HEMA) and it would be mutually beneficial to both practices if I did them both myself.

I look forward to getting to know more of you!

Drop me a line some day.
Keith Nelson, one of the founders of the Twin Cities Viking Age Club (we wanted to keep the mane simple and direct). I am also planning to get my gas forge in operation, hopefully in March or April. My experience up 'till now has been allon charcoal and a 200+ year old Mousehole anvil (at Fort Snelling), so I'm well aware that I have been unreasonably spoiled. It could be fun to compare notes.
