Making a swage block

Unread post by Jim Ericksen » Wed Mar 30, 2016 5:29 pm

Hi all ,

Been awhile since I've posted anything so I figured I'd share the swage block in making , it's pretty awesome having access to a scrap bin that once in a blue moon produces some really useful stuff

Saved this big old 3" thick steel testing flange from the pile and had a coworker put a few holes in it

I've decided to make some custom blocks in lieu of machining the sides , that way I can mount it securely and not have to turn it on its side

Pretty excited to get the stand done and put this bad boy in use
