Show and tell:
Member Roger Abrahamson, the winner of the forging station at the fall conference said, "I suppose you all were wondering what a woodworker was going to do with a forge..."
Roger brought a Wassail bowl and the gouge he had forged to turn it with as well as photos of him turning a bowl on his spring pole, kick lathe. He said it was a typical Norwegian ale bowl. (Hey, it wouldn't have taken very many of those wassail bowls of Christmas ale to get pretty cheery.)
Other Business:
The Quilt Raffle: What with the weather the quilt almost didn't make it to the meeting. John and Carol slid into Saint Paul just as the meeting was beginning.
Mary took the big tin ticket can and shook it up real good, then little Ms. Latané reached in and drew out the winning ticket.
John Adams, so the quilt went back to Rochester again. (Always nice to have a nice warm blankie in the car in case you get stranded) Congratulations John and thanks to Sheri, Barb, Carol, and Mary for putting it together and all of you for helping support the cause with your contributions.
