DESCRIPTION:Latch Hook \nFire Poker \nClass limit: Max 12 Cost: $225 members; $265 non-members. \nClass Description: This year’s pre-conference class attendees will be working on items from the Level I and Level II national curriculum. They will be making a latch and hook and a fire poker. Mark will be working with students to progress through the Level I and Level II skills required to create each piece. The class will generally follow the ABANA National Curriculum as the syllabus. DESCRIPTION:June meeting venue to be JJ Hill Farm in North Oaks\, MN\nThe June 8 membership meeting will be held at the JJ Hill Farm Historical Society at 35 Hill Farm Circle\, North Oaks\, MN 55127. Meet at 6:30 pm for potluck\, then meeting at 7. This is the remaining part of the JJ Hill farm in North Oaks which at one point was over 3500 acres. The three buildings remaining on site offer us an interesting opportunity to learn some history of this important historic site. Hopefully we will be able to have a brief introduction to the farm’s history from one of our hosts at the JJ Hill Historical Society.\nParking will be limited\, so please carpool if at all possible. We are arranging to have some parking available about 1/3 of a mile away at the North Oaks West Recreation Center Fields at the corner of West Pleasant Lake Road and Red Barn Road. You can drop your food items off at the farm and then park to avoid having to carry your potluck items the 1/3 mile. Again\, carpooling is highly recommended. DESCRIPTION:TGoM’s October 14 virtual membership meeting via ‘Zoom’\nHello and welcome to cooler forging weather. The Guild of Metalsmith’s October membership meeting will be on Zoom again on Oct 14\, 2020 at 6:45 p.m.\nWe at the Program Committee are excited to announce we will be doing a video shop tour of Hans Early-Nelson’s shop in North Minneapolis as the demo part of the meeting. He is an accomplished smith with years of experience and willing to let us get a peek at his space.\nWe will have the business part of the meeting first and show and tell just before the tour.\nHans expects to be there to share comments and answer any questions.
