The final design is still in the works and will be shown on the website and in the February and March Forums. A small 1 to 2 pound ball peen hammer would work. We have various hammers for you to try and get a feel for what is comfortable.\nTypical day:\nClasses start at 9 but people usually show up much earlier to get the coffee brewing\, have a donut\, swap stories or show off recent projects. Feel free to bring projects you are working on to show. We break for lunch. DESCRIPTION:The Education Committee requests your presence at your choice of one of the following dates: \n\nSaturday August 26\, 2017 at the Minnesota School of Horseshoe.\nSunday August 27\, 2017 at the Minnesota School of Horseshoe.\nSaturday September 23\, 2017 at the Wasmund shop in Cleveland \nWe will make other dates available if necessary \n\nThe Education Committee would like to invite you to discuss the new curriculum we have set with a Beginners 2 day\, a beginner’s Intermediate 1 Day and the beginner’s projects 1 day class. \nThe Guild’s classes use bits and pieces of lessons 1-25 of Controlled Hand Forging Curriculum for the last 4 years and feel it was the correct change.\nLessons can be viewed at: http://www.abana.org/resources/education/chf.shtml \nWe will gather around 8:00 for a cup of coffee and a donut and at 8:30 sharp begin the introduction of the Curriculum. \nWe feel it must be mandatory for all instructors (new and experienced) to attend this informative session\, whether teaching the beginners class or any other class in the Guild setting. \nTaking ideas from student evaluation sheets\, it has been determined by the Education Committee that we all need to retrain. There will be some initial training for instructors to get all of us back on track\, including: \n\nHow to do a demonstration of a written lesson.\nTeaching to the lesson without wandering.\nThe demonstrator / coach method of instruction.\nThe proper time to interject alternate methods.\nIdeas on how to motivate a student.\nThe right time to have fun.\n\nAll attendees will receive a token of certification as a guild Instructor. \nPlease RSVP to  \npoundedtreasure@gmail.com
