Cost: $65.00 for members, $80.00 for non-members Class size: Maximum 8, minimum 6 Class Description: This is the day to try blacksmithing. All are welcome – we have designed this for the complete novice. Class Champion: Harvey Steele 239-671-8887, hsteele@handeecleat.com Tools & Equipment participants should bring to class: Bring your favorite hammer. Gloves are optional. Safety Equipment: We will be forging with coal. Safety glasses are mandatory. Wear clothing of natural fiber with no cuffs or fraying, and leather boots or shoes. Hearing protection is optional but recommended. Lunch arrangements: We will break for lunch from 12:00pm-1:00pm. You can bring your lunch, or you can grab food at a local restaurant. We encourage you to eat in the classroom and have some productive discussions, Q&A with the instructors, etc. |
