Antikythera Mechanism Lecture

Join us for a discussion, slide show, and videos of the historic first model built of the world’s oldest  graphic-antikytherum mechanism pnganalog computer and orrery, the Antikythera Mechanism. Included will be a brief history of its discovery, explanation of its analysis, description of the functions and features it includes, as well as details on the methods used for construction.
I was fortunate enough to spend a day in London with builder Michael Wright, as he shared his model with me describing the unique features of how it operates, explaining how he analyzed the fragments and then constructed the model, plus showing me his workshop and the tools he used for the build
