Bronze Pour 2016: Pattern Making Workshop-cancelled!

Bronze Casting, Pattern, and Mold Making is a 3-part class
1. Saturday, March 26, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Pattern Making Workshop
2. Saturday & Sunday, April 16 & 17, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Mold Making
3. Saturday April 23, 3:00 pm – Evening: The Pour

We’ll be casting silicon bronze into two-part (cope and drag) sand molds from your pattern. For beginners, a flat-backed clay pattern is recommended. However, if you have something specific that you’d like to cast, let us know.
Wax Sculpting and Primitive Mold Making Demo
As part of this pour, on April 23 there will be a demonstration on wax sculpting for lost wax casting, and primitive (recyclable) clay and charcoal mold making using Meso-American methods.
You will need to bring: eye protection, leather gloves, and wear proper clothing.
