Intro to Arc Welding Class 2026
Instructor: Marty Masters
Class Description: If you’ve ever wanted to know more about welding, but didn’t have a way to do it, here’s your chance. There’s something mysterious and magical about welding. Welders sit so close to this fountain of sparks that most people would jump back from. They join steel (and other materials) together as if they were one.
This one-day class will be a survey of three common modern arc welding techniques which are appropriate for hobby welding:
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
- Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Each technique will be explained and demonstrated. Then the student will have hands-on time to practice.
